History

In 1945 the vehicle was confiscated by the US forces and assigned to "Motor-Pool" duty. It is assumed that the vehicle was transfered to private property of a US Army soldier with whom it was shipped to the United States. It changed hands several times during the years.
In 1970 the Maybach was restored by Al Murray even though it was already in good condition. It was put on the auction block for the first time in 1978 where it was offered for US$ 80,000. Today this convertible is located in the exhibit halls of the Imperial Palace Auto Museum in Las Vegas.
