History
The
assumed first owner Mr. Julio Vogel ran a sausage
factory in Asuncion/Paraguay and used this Maybach as
his private vehicle until the end of the 1950ies.Later,
after a new vehicle was aquired, the Maybach was
supposed to be converted to a pick-up truck because of
it's solid frame. The existence of this vehicle was for
many years only confirmed by rumors. In 1990 it was
finally discovered in form of a ruin. The frame, wheels
and engine were located amongst tall growing grass and
undergrowth while the body was repurposed as a hen
house. Even the fenders were still there. The vehicle is
supposedly to be restored.
The above picture is an archive photo of a similar
vehicle.
