The Wilhelm and Karl Maybach Foundation is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt Section 501(c)(3) charity.  Federal tax law provides that the IRS exemption is retroactive to the date of incorporation, July 18, 2005, so that all contributions made after that date may qualify for deductions by the donors.
